Angel Whispers – Behavior Modification

According to study.com, behavior modification refers to the techniques used to decrease or increase a particular type of behavior or reaction. This might sound very technical, but it's used frequently by all of us. Parents use this to teach their children right from wrong. Therapists use it to promote healthy behaviors in their patients. We even use it in our relationships with friends and significant others.

Conditioning is a form of learning. What did you learn as a child? How were you punished? In what way were you rewarded? As an adult, did you bring a programmed response anytime you were faced with a similar situation? Classical conditioning relies on a particular stimulus or signal. An example of this would be if a family member came to the kitchen every time you baked cookies because of the delicious smell. The second type is known as operant conditioning, which involves using a system of rewards and/or punishments.

I find that any energetic imbalance that is corrected begins a period of transformation. Those who struggle with creating positive change as they go through a healing process can find it challenging to break free of old patterns, programming, and habitual responses. Let’s get a whisper from the angelic realm on the subject of behavior modification:

The energy of the ego is an energy of the heart that travels with the soul throughout its journey, collecting information, holding the energy of reactions, and forming a response that can become a default during your lifetime. The ego is a survival and coping mechanism that supports the creation of personality and a subconscious response that can be activated any time you’re faced with a similar circumstance, event, or any experience that solicits emotion.

One aspect of this energetic essence of the heart is the way it affects the mind with the potential to create incorrect thinking, separation, and a distancing from the core value system at the soul level. Any situation that leads to ungrounding can enhance the formation of an immediate return to old programming. The result is a reaction that may be viewed as inappropriate or misaligned with the core vibrations held within the soul template. The consequence is an emotion or thought that seems out of character or misaligned with your true self.

When you are healing past traumas or balancing energy systems that have deviated from core vibrations, your habitual programmed responses need to be addressed through reconditioning and behavior modification. This part of the healing process and realignment can take a minimum of thirty days and require discipline to change the programming, conditioning, pattern, or established behavior that is inconsistent with how you would like to present yourself.

All lessons are leading you in a return to love. The greatest measure of expressing love and the highest spiritual dedication will manifest through self-care on the path to wellness. As you awaken to your illuminated life, you become the greatest teacher when leading by example and loving through conscious living any time you follow a discipline needed to modify behavior. Modify your behavior and you change your life through elevating your vibrations.

Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!

“Of course genes can’t pull the levers of our behavior directly. But they affect the wiring and workings of the brain, and the brain is the seat of our drives, temperaments and patterns of thought. Each of us is dealt a unique hand of tastes and aptitudes, like curiosity, ambition, empathy, a thirst for novelty or for security, a comfort level with the social or the mechanical or the abstract. Some opportunities we come across click with our constitutions and set us along a path in life.”
