Angel Whispers – Clutter

Clutter is defined as a collection of things lying about in an untidy mass. There are many types of clutter, according to my view. There is physical clutter, mental clutter, relationship clutter, and of course, global clutter (tee hee). As Beckie found out during her career as a de-clutterer and organizational assistant, plenty of emotions can be wrapped up in things.

For example, if your kitchen is cluttered, you might be challenged in the area of finances and health. Your cluttered living room could represent blocks around community and family. If your bedroom is a mess, you might be dealing with unfinished business, marriage issues, or not getting enough sex….er, uh…. I mean, rest. If your closet is cluttered, you might be experiencing a lack of self-respect or in need of some self-care. If your office is cluttered, your prosperity might be lagging behind. If your bathroom is cluttered, it may be time for a detox or some form of release.

What is the relationship between physical space, individual emotions, and the human energy body? Why are we so connected to the material world? What can we do to create abundant flow? The questions are stacking up, indicating it’s time for a whisper on clutter:

As humans grow from childhood into adulthood, the focus shifts toward the material world and away from God or Source energy. Separation at any level can create the illusion of safety coming from material things, allowing emotions to become entwined with life-force energy. The environment each person creates becomes the conditions under which they live. Any environment that supports an over-abundance of things, or becomes disorganized over a period of time, becomes the glaring sign that action is needed. Organizing your space can help arrange your life to create the flow of energy that is most aligned with you and your core vibrations. Energy flows where energy goes, so it is natural to feel stuck when any flow of energy is stagnated by density such as material possessions.

Sometimes it can serve to take an inventory of your life and to assess your current conditions with regard to physical space, relationships, career, and passion. Stagnant energy is toxic, and so are certain people and situations. Cleaning house can have a spiritual connotation that inspires you to let go of a relationship or activity that isn’t aligned with you and your core truth. Are you holding on to someone or something due to an emotional connection, a chord of attachment, or a hidden feeling of nostalgia? Material items carry the same emotional attachments, which is why clutter may be a symptom of a greater need.

Letting go may not be easy, but it will certainly bring freedom. Being free from the things stacking up in your life is your statement that you are no longer willing to carry the undue burdens of life. Organizing your environment is your message to the Universe that you are taking charge of your life. Living in a clean space is your heart giving voice to your desire for peace and a meaningful existence. Letting go of material possessions is your freedom from physical-world attachments.

Loving yourself comes from the willingness to detach from a life with self-imposed limitations and misaligned conditions.

Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell

“There's memory clutter, which reminds you of an important person, achievement, or event from your past. I think memory clutter often gathers in the homes of people with some degree of depression. And then there's "I might need it one day clutter, in which people hang on to stuff in anticipation of an imagined future. Among these folks, I've noticed a recurring theme of anxiety…maybe it's possible that the stuff we own and obsess over is the physical manifestation of the mental health issues that challenge our minds.”                 Peter Walsh
