Angel Whispers – Pain

I often see a pattern in the whispers with a connecting thread over a period of weeks and months. The whisper on pain is no exception. We had the whisper on drugs and medication, followed by the whisper on anger from desire.

Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines pain as 1) the physical feeling caused by disease, injury, or something that hurts the body; 2) mental or emotional suffering; 3) sadness caused by some emotional or mental problem, or 4) someone or something that causes trouble or makes you feel annoyed or angry. I am not sure that I have ever thought of being annoyed or angry as bringing pain.

Many doctors are beginning to accept that integrative medicine and alternative therapies that address emotions might be effective in the path toward healing. Accidents, traumas, and injuries would naturally be accompanied by pain, but pain may take on many forms in multiple dimensions. Maybe there is more to understand from spirit on the subject of pain:

Pain is shaped by a variety of factors, which can lead to the diagnosing and treatment of symptoms without actually getting to the cause. Pain is the body’s way of communicating that it is holding some form of tension. Tension is created by resistance in the movement of energy through channels. Clogged energy channels can be caused by a variety of issues, including held negative emotions, environmental toxins, scar tissue from injury, or the effects of trauma.

Each person’s reaction to pain shapes the next response to a painful experience. Some painful experiences are expected with any form of trauma to the body, yet some forms of disharmony hold mysteries as to how an energetic or emotional process manifests into pain. The body will speak when you ask, but it is left up to you to quieten the mind in order to listen to the body’s wisdom. Your body knows more than you might give credit, and can speak in ways that are clear, distinct, and direct.

Like a doctor interprets levels with your body chemistry and makeup, you can read your body to determine any type of disharmony or imbalance in the present moment. Inflammation in the body can be occurring without immediate evidence, so you should listen to the whispers from the heart. Treating yourself with kindness can act to mitigate the effect of imbalance from the experiencing of emotional, mental, and spiritual stress. Self-care is the most spiritual action and expression of the human experience one can fulfill. Do not create illusions around the need to suffer or martyr your body in the name of some spiritual ideal, for this is not love.

You will have plenty of opportunities for salvation without imposing or prolonging any form of suffering. Address your pain by expressing your emotions, by accepting what cannot be changed, by understanding your life purpose while knowing that your story does not define who you are, by acknowledging your blessings in gratitude, and by remaining neutral in the face of obstacles. Loving yourself means facing your emotions directly, and clearing up misunderstandings in order to love your fellow humans and your life. Love is listening to your intuition, trusting your heart song, growing with your knowledge, and being practical with your solutions.

Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell

“But pain's like water. It finds a way to push through any seal. There's no way to stop it. Sometimes you have to let yourself sink inside of it before you can learn how to swim to the surface.”          Katie Kacvinsky
