Sacrifice
Sacrifice is another word
suggested by a reader and an excellent choice to follow on
the heels of manifestation. Sacrifice: 1) to give of
yourself even if you don't want to. 2) retreat from your
dreams. 3) loss of something really important. I just made
up those silly definitions since I am without access to my
dictionaries and the Internet. Could there be some truth
between the lines that express how I may view sacrifice in a
negative light?
In my retrospective on this
word, I had a realization that I had placed loads of energy
in the area of sacrifice when it came to my children. That
may have served me with some sort of shield of honor, but
looking back I can't say that I was seeing the truth in all
situations. At the time I'm sure I was convincingly
following my heart!
My bottom line to the daily
epiphany is that I am constantly engaged in the
decision-making process that leads to change or sacrifice.
Whether it is choosing to work rather than go play, fill my
time with one person over another or giving up an activity
to donate time to a cause, somewhere in there is a choice or
many choices.
Sacrifice is used a lot in
religious teachings and there must be a connection to our
spirituality. It could be conceived that to live a
spiritually devoted life means plenty of sacrifice of
personal freedoms. But what if that leads to spiritual
freedom? It's time to sacrifice a moment to hear the
whisper:
Don't become the
victim of a sacrifice, even if it is made by someone that
you love. Inside every action in the Universe there is an
opposing energetic force. The force that follows sacrifice
is love, love for yourself, love for God or the Highest
Power, love for others, and love for life itself.
Sacrifice is found in the same vibrations as passion.
In nature, the ultimate sacrifice is a common element to
the life process. This sacrifice is accepted as a part of
the total experience. Your perception of another's
sacrifice can determine the predisposed feeling of outcome
for that person. In this way, the judgment of others who
view a sacrificial aspect can only reflect an external
perspective. Most will affirm that their personal
sacrifice was a bridge to ascension.
If you are contemplating a sacrifice, it could help to
assess who is being served. The energies of the Lower Self
can support self-serving images of sacrifice through the
creation of an illusion. The Universal flow of energy
always supports the creative mind. The result can be a
fabricated vision that connects your path to paradigms
that support sacrifice as the only means to achieve your
goals.
Perhaps you should apply the word sacrifice to things like
your unhappiness, dissatisfaction or any perceived misery
in your life. Sacrifice is surrender. The release of all
resistance can be your true sacrifice to Source Energy.
The giving heart is the purest form of sacrifice while
only the ego would attach resentment or discontent without
accounting for the true nature of energetic exchange. Look
at your situation through the eyes of an angel to
illuminate the truth in your sacrifice, and what do you
see, love or illusion?
Bring joy, ease suffering
and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
