Week of February 1, 2009:
Contemplation
How ironic is it that I am
contemplating contemplation, which indicates there is a noun
and a verb that stem from this word. I am currently at the
southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains, pondering the
meaning of contemplation (lol). I have been accused of
over-analyzing words, actions, situations,
over-contemplating, you name it.
Blaming an aspect of your
own personality for anything sounds like a victim mentality,
but I am a Libra! Therefore, I am destined to see all sides,
contemplate and then decide what my position is, before
choosing what form my actions will take. You should hear
Beckie and me contemplate where to go for a meal (tee hee).
I would say that
contemplation is part of the process of discernment, yet not
committed to an outcome. I am wondering if the physical
world is the only place to experience this mental exercise
and if so, should we value that aspect even more? With time
as a constraint, we often rush through our contemplation
lest we be called indecisive.
How much of a part does ego
play with this process and how much is inner guidance or
divine guidance? As I contemplate contemplation I am raising
more questions than answers. I think I just proved all of
the above. I need a whisper from an angel to help me
contemplate the divine language of life:
Contemplation is the
intellectual stimulus that allows for the formation or
awareness of your vibrations. From thought to
contemplation, followed by decision and ultimate action,
the process used by human spirit to raise awareness,
follow dreams, and to witness miracles starts with
contemplation.
Think of contemplation as a way to take a moment to pause
and reflect on information collected, the feelings
experienced and the alignment with your essence. True
growth and spiritual development evolve from
contemplation, as a profound and moving understanding
becomes an epiphany.
An artist contemplates the expansion of visual discoveries
through the mind's eye, and then transfers that image of
color and light onto canvas. The more clarity found in the
process of contemplation, the more creative and truly
representative are the results. This type of transmission
is present in all aspects of life.
Contemplation, for these reasons and many more, can bring
peace to the heart and soul through acceptance, stillness
and a willingness to explore beyond the surface in order
to see the truth in all situations. Contemplate without
ego judgments to reach the highest vibrations of
resonance with the Higher Self.
Bring joy, ease suffering
and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
