Transformation
The first part of this word is
'trans' and when used as a prefix, carries the meaning
"across, over, or beyond." To move beyond your form could
describe the meaning of this word in very simple terms.
Another definition for transformation might be a swift
translation of thought into action, like this angel whisper
(tee hee).
"In today's neo-evangelical church,
the term 'transformation' is currently in vogue. Various
churches and denominations claim to be undergoing
'transformation.' This word no longer refers to the humble
sanctification of the individual believer. Rather, it now
refers to an orchestrated, systemic and revolutionary
overhaul of the global church, including the
'transformation' of cities, societies, cultures,
marketplaces, and more," according to Lynn and Sarah Leslie,
who also state:
Transformation--the measurable
supernatural impact of the presence and power of God on
human society, sacred and secular. In the church, this is
characterized by increased holiness of life, accelerated
conversion growth, reconciliation in relationships,
mobilization of gifts and callings, and an increased
relevance to and participation in a greater society.
I am not sure I can completely agree
with those assessments, but in this word study I found
several contradictions among scholars and spiritual leaders.
This quote from Marianne Williamson seemed to capture my
thoughts on the subject: Personal transformation can and
does have global effects. As we go, so goes the world, for
the world is us. The revolution that will save the world is
ultimately a personal one. Let's see what the angels can
allow in the energy of transformation:
Every minute of life on Earth
creates an opportunity for transformation in the energy of
thoughts, dreams, ideas, experiences and awareness. To
change is to be transformed, and that energy can bring
movement with the smallest level of willingness to embrace
this basic constant that surrounds your essence.
Paradigms and structures collapse under the weight of
transformation in order to ensure growth through conscious
awareness. The evolution of mankind is dependent upon
keeping an eye on the future while holding the lessons of
the past. This brings grounding and centered openness to
the concept of living in the moment.
Transformation shows an unwillingness to continue with old
patterns and behaviors as you integrate teachings into
your life. Fear energy can slow or stop the process of
transformation, especially if supported by beliefs and the
thoughts of others. This interruption in the growth
process can also represent an internal delay tactic or ego
trick.
Would a butterfly refuse the gift of flight after a
lifetime as a caterpillar? This illuminates the fact that
transformation is a part of the natural order of life, and
to resist change simply means that you are not ready to
fly. The energy of love is always transformational.
Bring joy, ease suffering
and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
