Indecision
Have you ever reached that point
where every little decision seems to become monumental or
even confrontational? When I was in the housing
restoration business, my clients sometimes became affected
by what I referred to as 'decision overload', which is the
result of making several important commitments in a
relatively short period of time.
There are times when some of my
previous decisions have me feeling unsure or unclear about
moving forward with confident action steps. At other times,
maybe I don't think I have enough information to make the
best choice. Could some of these things that I have brought
up be ways to feed resistance or fears?
Indecision is an adjective defined
as hesitant, irresolute, inconclusive or lacking definition.
William Arthur Ward once said, "The optimist lives on the
peninsula of infinite possibilities; the pessimist is
stranded on the island of perpetual indecision." I am
usually on the peninsula with the optimists, so how do I end
up on the island? Well, let's see if there are some gentle
winds that can guide us in a whisper from an angel on
indecision:
Most decisions, be it large or
small, require a response from your analytical mind and
your heart, which then solicits intuition and patience as
you engage both sides of the brain to get an answer. When
you are out of balance in any area of life or during times
of increased stress, decisions seem to be much more
challenging. If you think back on times when you made
smooth and easy decisions, these might be a reflection on
the way things were flowing during that period.
Life flows in cycles and rhythms that can bring forward an
increased awareness regarding your current state of
affairs. Moving forward with confidence and conviction
comes from knowing when to put your best thoughts forward
with patience.
The best approach to any decision is to remain open to all
possibilities, including those that seem remote, with the
intention of being guided into the best one, regardless of
your past experiences. You might allow yourself the
opportunity to experience your own spiritual growth in the
making of today's choices and decisions as you witness
shifts in patterns.
Truth always illuminates the path that leads you to
choosing your rightful place in the Kingdom of the Earth.
Keeping alignment with your core being, standing in the
light of your integrity and coming from a place of love
for yourself and others will serve your spirit and bring
the energy of content in all decision-making processes.
Indecision can be a conscious choice, so consider your
indecision carefully.
Bring joy, ease suffering
and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
