Rubicon
Have you ever felt trapped or
without options in one of your commitments? Sometimes the
investment we have made, whether it is time, money or
other forms of energy, can bring illusions around that
intention or desire.
Rubicon is defined as a limit that, when passed or
exceeded, permits no return and typically results in
irrevocable commitment. Friedrich Max Muller once said,
"Language is the Rubicon that divides man from beast."
Maybe that is why I do these whispers, to make that
distinction (lol).
At one point in my adult life, I was struggling with a
decision around a commitment. It was causing a lot of
stress and disharmony in my life, then a wise friend took
me aside and asked why I was putting myself through the
misery. The main reason was that I was vested in the
project that was by all appearances failing to yield any
positive energy. After discussing it with my friend, I
pulled out of the project and discovered my heart was
singing, my soul felt free and the other people involved
were equally relieved.
Circumstances, situations and experiences can alter the
direction we are heading, and all that it takes is an
acknowledgment and ongoing discernment of the divine life
purpose we are living. It is time to make an investment of
thought and action in order to better understand Rubicon.
And now for a whisper:
There are levels of commitments
to all aspects of life. There is commitment to your health
that includes your spiritual, emotional and physical
bodies. There are commitments to your family and friends
that involve spiritual growth and life purpose, and there
are financial commitments anchored in loyalty and
responsibility.
Within all types of energy, there are levels and limits to
the human psyche. The Rubicon can appear in various forms,
such as limiting beliefs, illusions and false judgments as
a way to remind you of you're true alignment with your
core existence. Instead of reflecting with judgment on
your decision, give yourself the freedom to reassess any
situation and approach new information with an openness
and willingness that is free of blame. If your commitments
are filled with discomfort, your body is sending you a
message to take another look. Feeling trapped is usually a
sign that illusions have been built in regard to your
commitments.
Feeling cornered can also indicate a lack of faith, as if
to tell the Universe that it is ungenerous. A caged heart
might encourage you to place conditions or find focus on
waiting for a single set of circumstances to form that
will enable you to love your life. Release any behaviors
or thoughts that hold you to any conceived absolutes, for
there are none on the path that you walk. The limitations
you form around decisions are just that, something you are
putting in place. Hold a space for truth that gives you
the freedom to make changes based on the current landscape
of the heart and soul. In doing so, your family, friends,
and lovers will honor those choices above all others as
you anchor your love in the illuminated light of faith,
truth and the energy of change.
Bring joy, ease suffering
and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!

Dearest Russell –
I just needed to say hello and send you such gratitude for
putting me on the list to receive your Angel Whispers that you
do for everyone each week.
There is so much I get from them, and they especially ring
true as a message I am needing even when it doesn’t seem that
way at the beginning – there is always one!
