Sexuality
This is a word that, at times, seems
in conflict with spiritual growth, and it is that contrast
that is nudging me into wonder around integrating the two.
There has to be some connection between human sexual nature
and each person's unique spiritual essence that could offer
a transcending moment or two.
Have you ever looked up sexuality in the dictionary? It was
quite the experience witnessing the lack of definition, and
then there was the knowing that my Google searches would
spring forth many new interesting ads (tee hee). Take that
Google analytics! I am feeling so empowered by seeking
answers to sexuality, which is defined as "the sum of the
person's sexual behaviors and tendencies." Wooohooo, that
sums it up!
I am also sure that religious teachings can make
understanding sexuality about as unclear as the definition.
Does our sexuality raise or lower our vibrations? Can we
integrate spiritual growth with sexuality in a manner that
holds high integrity? These are just a few of the questions
that come with asking an angel for a better definition of
the word sexuality:
Sexuality is one aspect of the
human adventure that evokes energy so intense, a primal
awakening occurs. This awakening parallels the human
response that flows from one's consciousness that has a
similar euphoric feeling as spirituality or spiritual
growth. A person's sexuality can be the intersection of
opposing forces which, in a heightened state, can become
the balanced integration of spirituality and sexuality.
It is common for mankind to use teachings that support the
repression of energy and categorize it as spiritual
growth. But the repression of pleasure usually leads to an
energetic response in the opposite direction. Therefore,
you should integrate your sexuality with your spirituality
in a way that aligns with your consciousness. In this way,
you stay in integrity and merge the energies as balanced.
With judgments come shame and a feeling that something is
wrong or out of order in some way. To feel true freedom of
spirit, try to release judgments and beliefs that repress
your sexuality, which in turn represses your energy field.
In this freedom and spacious environment that you can
create, it is important to align with your core beliefs in
order to prevent self-inflicted damage to the spirit.
In the Cosmic union of sexuality between two hearts, there
are wings that carry your love around the Universe, only
to return with the amplified momentum known as God's
grace.
Bring joy, ease suffering
and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
